Tatuaje’s new corojo cigars:

Tatuaje Rolls Out Three Limited Edition Corojo Cigars

Tatuaje has just begun shipping a trio of limited edition cigars, each wrapped in Nicaraguan-grown Corojo leaf—adding a spicy twist to some of its most iconic blends. The latest releases include the Tatuaje T110 Corojo, Tatuaje Cohete Corojo, and Avión ’13 Corojo.

Tatuaje T110 Corojo: Full-Strength in a Compact Format

The T110 Corojo revives one of Tatuaje’s most potent formats—a 4 3/8 x 52 short robusto with a history rooted in strength and boldness. Originally introduced in 2009 as an exclusive for R. Field Wine Co. in Honolulu, the “T” stands for Thermonuclear, with “110” referring to its size in millimeters.

Over the years, the T110 has evolved with different wrappers, including Connecticut Broadleaf, Ecuadorian Sumatra, and Mexican San Andrés (under the Tuxtla name). The 2024 version introduces a Corojo wrapper grown in Nicaragua, complemented by dual Nicaraguan binders and Nicaraguan filler.

  • Price: $12 per cigar

  • Production: Limited to 4,000 boxes of 25 (100,000 cigars total)

Tatuaje Cohete Corojo: A Boutique Rocket Returns

The Cohete Corojo brings back another small-format powerhouse, measuring 4 x 50. Named after the Spanish word for "rocket," this cigar uses the classic Brown Label blend, but swaps the usual Ecuadorian wrapper for a Nicaraguan Corojo leaf grown by the García family.

The Cohete has seen a few rare appearances over the years, originally debuting in 2006 as a store exclusive, with limited returns in 2009 and 2013. A broader release came in 2022, alongside two variants: Cohete Reserva (Broadleaf wrapper) and Cohete Capa Especial (Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper).

  • Price: $10 per cigar

  • Production: 2,000 boxes of 25 (50,000 cigars total)

Avión ’13 Corojo: The Double Perfecto Gets a Twist

Rounding out the trio is the Avión ’13 Corojo, a 6 7/8 x 52 double perfecto that reimagines the original with a Corojo wrapper instead of the Connecticut Broadleaf found on the standard production version.

The Avión line stems from the T110 heritage, via the Fausto series, and originally debuted in 2011. Tatuaje has occasionally offered alternate versions, such as the Avión ’13 Tuxtla in 2022, which used a San Andrés wrapper. Now, the Corojo version joins the family as another limited release.

  • Price: $13 per cigar

  • Production: 2,000 boxes of 25 (50,000 cigars total)

Produced at My Father Cigars, Nicaragua

All three new releases—T110 Corojo, Cohete Corojo, and Avión ’13 Corojo—are produced at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, maintaining the consistent quality and blending expertise the brand is known for.

These new Corojo-wrapped cigars follow a June release of a Corojo version of the Tatuaje 7th, a 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda, signaling a clear trend toward reimagining fan-favorite blends with Nicaraguan Corojo.
